Author's Comments

OK, major time dilation in the lunch periods in this story. I completely admit this, let's just assume that the third floor of this high school is located on the other end of a singularity and time moves super slow there. There's also kind of dilation between Vea and the lockpicker as far as her reactions to them but I didn't want this to turn into a short novel, so stuff happens fast.

All of the names in here are pretty random EXCEPT Vea's and the lockpicker's. These were chosen for their definitions on [link] .

The lockpicker is supposed to come off as a bit of a sociopath, that's on purpose. I don't know why they turned out the way they did but yeah, they're kinda… odd.

Disclaimer: I still think romance IRL is overrated, overdramatized, and too risky to be worthwhile!!! Remember, this is fiction.

A special thanks to Everybody for inspiring the Nobody shtick. Nobody likes you!!!

Important! Revised version is here: [link]

I'd take this down if it weren't the most favorited prose in my gallery. FFS, this thing's even rife with typoes, but it doesn't seem worth putting lipstick on this particular pig. I'd rather just write a third version, but can't be arsed just yet. I'm working on other stuff.

i love the little things you stuck in with the lockpicker speaking... those were really wonderful... i loved all the metaphors. i liked the story, too, but then it started gettting a bit confusing with all the tons of characters and i decided to give up... but good job!
