Blood Ties Are Only Blood.“Hey kid, I’m home,” Sandra called, listening for some sign of life expectantly. A hand slowly appeared from the front of an armchair she couldn’t see from the doorway and she smiled; her son, Chris, was lounging dolefully in its lap. She shut the door behind her and shrugged out of her apron, placing it on the ground near the front door along with her purse and shoes. With a few long strides from her short legs, Sandra was in front of the armchair and she kneeled down, smiling at her son excitedly. He gazed openly back at her, orange eyes he’d inherited from his father blinking back at her, completely empty.

'World Famo-Paintings'Words are few.  Far between.  Usually 1 out of 3  is fairly good.  
I see a stack  of old friends for sale  like a stack of records  outdated by radio play.  
 
I never told you, but  our life is war.  
Exile on Main Street,  not unlike living in a house  with a million little ants  and never forgetting you’re alone.

Pimping an art contest for a friend

A request to the people who read this journal- have a look at the visual art contest I will now proceed to link. [link] Chekkitout!

I can't do visual art nearly to the level that I know this would require, but I know some people who watch me can. So, probably, can some of the people who randomly wander onto my page, which seems to still happen every now and again.

Anyway, linking this because a friend of mine is involved in running Sidereus. I have yet to go to one of the events (because I'm lame, and because I'm not a gamer... but mostly because I'm lame), but they sound pretty fun.
